Beginner Draping I

Learn the basics of draping and how to create foundation pattern pieces to create simple designs using a dress form. Students will need to bring some tools but the instructor will also have some materials and tools on hand. A list will be sent upon registration. Price of class includes muslin fabric that will be provided to the students for draping. A dress form is required. There are a couple of dress forms at the store and are available on a first come basis. This is a two part class. Students will learn how to measure and mark their dress form, drape and true a skirt sloper in the first class. In the second class, students will learn how to drape and true a basic bodice sloper. The second class, which will be learning to drape a bodice, will meet following this class. It is an additional $85 that you can pay (via cash, check or venmo) on that day. It will meet from 2:00-4:30.
